Racial Justice Through Drug Reform, Student Kidnappings in Nigeria, and More

As of today, 18 states and the District of Columbia have voted to fully legalize adult-use cannabis. With more states reforming their marijuana policies, there is a critical opportunity to advance racial justice and equity. Sabina Morris, John Hudak, and Christine Stenglein discuss the importance of investing in the communities and individuals hit hardest by the war on drugs.

Between December 2020 and March 2021, more than 600 Nigerian children were kidnapped while in school. For the country's education system to survive, school safety and the economic dynamics that lead to kidnappings must be addressed.
