| John Breech joined Will Brinson on Monday's "Pick Six NFL Podcast" for a training camp mailbag, and there were lots of juicy questions, perhaps none bigger than: Might we all be giving the Dallas Cowboys too much credit? America's Team is about to get a major spotlight on this year's edition of HBO's "Hard Knocks" (check out CBSSports.com for episode power rankings every week!), and plenty have chalked them up as NFC East contenders now that Dak Prescott is back. But the guys aren't so sure about Dallas. |
| "I picked the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl in 2020," Breech said, "but I am so far off the Cowboys bandwagon, I am on a different continent." Dallas was nearly 0-4 out of the gate in 2020 even with Prescott, Breech added, and now the quarterback is coming off not only an ankle injury but new shoulder strain. Couple Dak's health questions with a remade defense, and all of a sudden the East doesn't necessarily look like an easy division for Dallas. |

| 2. Hall of Fame recap: Top speeches, preview of 2022 class |
| The Pro Football Hall of Fame officially closed the book on the induction of its Class of 2021 on Sunday night, and resident NFL historian Bryan DeArdo has rounded up all the best highlights of the weekend, from Peyton Manning's joke-filled speech to Drew Pearson's celebratory night (and in case you missed it, you can check out his takeaways from Saturday's belated Class of 2020 induction ). | Peyton Manning was the only QB to enter the Hall of Fame this weekend, but he gave a shout-out to Brady in his acceptance speech, even jokingly predicting when the Buccaneers QB will give his own induction speech. It got us thinking: Which active QBs have a real shot at getting a gold jacket? | 4. Deshaun Watson update: QB returns; Texans mull future |
| The Texans quarterback returned to practice for the first time in a week on Monday, stirring up all kinds of speculation regarding his cloudy future in both Houston and the NFL. Still facing 22 civil lawsuits and 10 criminal complaints, Watson may not be off the Texans' own radar for the 2021 season, with Yahoo! Sports reporting that Houston intends to wait out the QB's "hold-in" in an attempt to have him back as its starting QB, barring a strong trade offer. Other reports, however, suggest Watson's Texans career is already over. |
| 5. Three bold Eagles predictions: DeVonta Smith explodes |

| If we're overrating the Cowboys, are we underrating the Eagles? Jeff Kerr might tell you as much, because he's made three bold predictions for the 2021 Birds, each of which should have Philly excited. His biggest and boldest guess: First-round pick DeVonta Smith will explode to the tune of a franchise receiving record as the Eagles' new No. 1, helping catapult Jalen Hurts and Co. to immediate offensive success: |
DeSean Jackson, who holds the Eagles franchise record for receiving yards in a rookie season with 912, is one of the few rookie wide receivers to start Week 1 of his first season and make an immediate impact. Smith will have that same effect on an Eagles offense that badly needs him.
