The Lunch Line: Raymond Arroyo named Endymion grand marshal. And another reason to hate the Rams

By Bob Warren

The Rams again?? #%$&*!!! Over it yet? Don’t even answer – of course you're not. The Saints did what they needed to do on Sunday – beat the Falcons. But the Rams (yeah, those guys) blew a 17-point lead and lost to the 49ers, which bounced the Saints from the playoffs. The Rams! Again! Don’t feel bad about wishing them an early exit from the postseason. Oh, and guess who visits the Caesars Superdome next season?

Sworn in: Today’s inauguration day in New Orleans. Mayor LaToya Cantrell and the members of the City Council were sworn to office for new terms. You can check it out here.

Plugging money: Louisiana is an oil and gas state. It’s also home to more than 4,600 “orphan” oil and gas wells. State leaders plan to ask the feds for a $401.7 million grant to help plug those wells, some of which pose an environmental threat, Mark Schleifstein reports.

Endymion grand marshal: Raymond Arroyo, A New Orleans-born author, broadcaster and Fox News contributor, will be the grand marshal of the Endymion parade Feb. 26. Over the years, Endymion's parade and after-party has hosted a number of celebrities. This year's Extravaganza at Dome will feature Diana Ross and Maroon 5.

Hope you enjoyed the Lunch Line. Thanks for taking a break with us today.
