Dear Mozilla supporter, This year we saw the best of the internet as we all dealt with the pandemic and learned to work, go to school, and socialize online. We also saw signs of trouble, most recently as U.S. election-related disinformation spread rapidly while tech companies failed to do enough to stop it. If there's one thing that 2020 has taught us, it's just how important a healthy and open internet is in our daily lives, now and for the foreseeable future. As we plan our programs for next year, we need to know if we can count on your financial support to continue and expand what we do. Can you chip in today? Yes, I'll Contribute Looking ahead into 2021, of course, comes with a lot of uncertainty. We can promise that with your help, we'll keep fighting for a better internet for you and for everyone, just as we did in 2020: You see Big Tech constantly vacuuming up all your data into the surveillance economy, and failing to act effectively against the disinformation spread on their platforms — so you've joined with us in our advocacy campaigns to hold tech companies accountable and fight for your privacy. When the pandemic hit and we moved all our in-person gatherings online, you wondered about the privacy and security of your video meetings — so we pushed on Zoom to enable encryption for everyone, and also published a special video call apps edition of our *Privacy Not Included buyer's guide. You know these issues are complex and often need insight from topic matter experts — and Mozilla Fellows across the globe are tackling the big issues head-on to give us real-world solutions. You also know someone needs to think long-term and shape the future of the web for the public good — which is why Mozilla is leading the way on developing trustworthy AI as well as alternative data governance models to let you have greater control over your data. You've realized that keeping the internet healthy needs a global movement, and you may be among our worldwide community of volunteers, an open source code advocate, or someone who's attended our gatherings like Mozfest. As you shop for holiday gifts, you definitely don't want to give something creepy, so you've consulted our latest edition of the *Privacy Not Included buyers guide to make smart choices AND help bend the overall consumer market towards privacy by default. All of this is made possible by your donations to the Mozilla Foundation. So we hope you'll contribute today. Yes, I'll Donate With your support, we'll keep fighting to create an internet that elevates critical thinking, reasoned argument, shared knowledge, and verifiable facts.
