Re-Opening Today! (June 15)
On Monday, June 15, the Paul Sawyier Public Library will be re-opening to the public. Hours and services will be limited, in order to comply with the Kentucky Healthy at Work guidelines for public libraries.

Open to the Public:
Monday - Wednesday: 2 PM- 6 PM
Thursday – Saturday: 10 AM – 2 PM

Open to At-Risk Patrons:
Mondays: 12 PM-2 PM

Curbside Pick-Up:
Tuesday - Wednesday: 10 AM - 1 PM

Patrons who wish to continue contact-free service may place holds online or over the phone, and schedule a time to pick up at curbside once the holds are ready (patrons will be notified by phone); the limit of 5 holds per patron for curbside delivery will continue.

PSPL will be following the Healthy at Work guidelines for re-opening, increasing cleaning and quarantining materials to keep our patrons and staff safe and well. In compliance with the guidelines, the building capacity will be limited to 60 patrons at a time. Patrons will be asked to wait outside, observing social distancing guidelines, when the building reaches capacity. (We are limited to having just 50% of our staff working at any time, so that limits the hours and services we can provide.)

In accordance with the guidelines, PSPL is asking patrons to enter the library at the doors from the parking garage/underpass (near the entrance to the parking garage), and exit from the doors in the newer section of the building, at the rear. The front doors on Wapping Street will remain closed.

Staff members will be wearing face coverings, and gloves as appropriate; patrons will be encouraged but not required to wear face coverings. Social distancing guidelines will be observed. We are asking our patrons to be considerate of the time they spend with us, to keep their visits efficient so that others may use the library services too.

The meeting rooms will remain closed for outside groups, and all PSPL programs will remain online only. Returned materials will be quarantined for 72 hours.

All of our digital resources will continue to be available 24/7, as they have during the shutdown; the Kentucky Virtual Library and Ancestry Library Edition will remain available through a generous gift from the Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives.

The Friends of the Paul Sawyier Library will resume accepting book donations, at the drop-off in the parking garage, when the library is open.
