Adrean Zavala TQs & wins at Copa Interamericana Posted: 11 Nov 2019 08:41 AM PST The Copa Interamericana was held in Queretaro, Mexico over the weekend and in the 1/8th Nitro GT category it was Adrean Zavala (SWorkz/Picco/PMT) with the overall TQ and also the win in the A-main final. Two laps behind it was Paolo Morgati (IGT8/Max/PMT) on the runner-up spot while Emiliano Robles (SWorkz/Picco/PMT) came in 3rd to round out the podium. Boggs & Watson win at ROAR Region 6 regionals Posted: 11 Nov 2019 07:10 AM PST Flowood Indoor R/C Park of Flowood, Mississippi held the 2019 ROAR Region 6 Regionals this past weekend, attracting over 60 entries. In 1/8th Nitro Buggy it was Blake Boggs (Team Associated) with the win, a lap in front of TQ holder “Little Chicken” (Team Associated) as 3rd place qualifier, Kody Watson (JQ Racing) retained his P3 qualifying position some three laps. In the Under 17 ranking it was Kody Watson who would bring home the win and thus his second podium result. Alejandro Perez takes Malaga regional buggy title Posted: 11 Nov 2019 06:54 AM PST The final round of the Malaga regional championship was held at the Club RC Alhaurin de la Torre in Alhaurin de la Torre, Spain this past weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Alejandro Perez with the overall TQ from Agustin Illanes in 2nd place. In the 45-minute main final Alejandro would lead from start to finish as Agustin came in 2nd, a lap down. Jose Palma would complete the top 3 podium result some four laps down, retaining his qualifying position. With the win Alejandro Perez also took the overall regional championship title. The BRCA F2 National Champion and Worksop Masters winner will campaign Xray’s XB2 and XB4 platforms at all BRCA National as well as select European events and he has the following to say: I’m extremely excited to join Team Xray as they’ve launched the latest spec XB2 & XB4 cars. I’m looking forward to settling in with my new team mates and hitting the track with the new cars over the winter season and at the BRCA Nationals and the EFRA European Championships held here in the UK next summer. The 3-D-printed mounts reinforce the contact area of the wing and body, ensuring higher rigidity, stability and durability. The mounts fit snuggly into the bodies‘ wing mount posts, they come as pairs and are available from now on. Yee Kok Leong wins KLGP 2019 finale Posted: 11 Nov 2019 04:19 AM PST The final round of the Malaysian 2019 KLGP series took place at the KL International RC circuit with drivers from Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei in attendance. Already during qualifying Yee Kok Leong showed his dominance by taking the TQ spot in the 1/8th IC Track class with his Novarossi-powered Shepherd. The main final saw some great battles in the beginning but already after a few minutes Yee pulled away from the field and went on to win the hour-long main final some four laps in front of Austin Wong (Mugen/Max) in 2nd and Ben Sew (ARC/O.S.) in 3rd position. Louth RCCC Schumacher Winter Series Rd2 – Report Posted: 11 Nov 2019 04:03 AM PST The second round of the 2019/20 Schumacher Winter Series presented by the Louth Radio Control Car Club took place this past weekend. Chris lovely who took the top spot in the opening round of the series would set the initial pace with his Xray in the 13.5 class. However he was pushed hard by the returning Alex Brocklebank and the new Schumacher Mi7. Joseph Cocking would place his Yokomo BD9 Medius into 3rd ahead of the X-rays of Callum Chapman, Andrew Green and Daniel Burks. In the double headed final Chris wouldn’t have it his own way, a mistake would see him tumble down the field and Alex Would take full advantage to cruise home to a victory in A1. Chris would battle from the back to second ahead of Joseph, Andrew, Daniel and Callum. The second final would be a different affair with Chris keeping it true and taking the win, Alex would have to battle through this time to finish 2nd as the field finished in starting order. 13.5 final results: The 17.5 Open class things were wide open as there was no defending champion or round one winner. Stewart Mcleod would set the early pace with two TQ rounds. The resurgence dog Harvey Greenfield as he took rounds 3 and 4 and the fastest time. Peter Covell would show strong in 3rd ahead of young contender Warren Frith and Chris Chapman. The finals were all about the two up front. They pulled a gap early on but it looked all stalemate until the final lap in A1 when Harvey got his car on two wheels allowing Stewart through. Peter and Chris would slug it out for 3rd with Peter coming out on top. The second final was a different story with Harvey suffering a tyre issue early on, Stewart would get through an pull a gap. Harvey would still hold onto 2nd as Peter again would hold onto 3rd ahead of Chris and Warren. 17.5 Open final results: In a full heat of GT12 cars mixed with the MTC class Chris Whiteside would continue his domination from precious rounds. Craig Illingworth would show strong but be able to knock Chris off the top spot. Lee Ward would mix it with the GT12 running his MTC Xpress and bring home 3rd in the qualifying runs. Paul Vincent would secure fourth ahead of Chris Sleaford and Matt Dutfield. The double finals looked like it would be plan sailing for Chris Whiteside but an issue is final would see him to the back of the field. Craig Illingworth would take up the mantle and try to take the top spot, but it was Paul Vincent who would come through form 4th ahead of Craig. Followed by Lee, Chris and Matt would who stay in starting order. Normal service was resumed in final two as Chris would get the lead and pull from the field. Chris and Lee would battle through but the MTC would get ahead of the Schumacher GT12 on this occasion. Paul, Chris and Matt would finish in starting order as per the first final. GT12/MTC final results: A depleted number for the Tamiya Euro trucks at this round. Callum Chapman would domaines round one of the series and continue on with that form. He would take a commanding top qualifier spot, Richard Howells could just keep tabs but not do enough to put enough pressure on. Ian Taylor showed strong in the opening qualifying rounds to third ahead of Matt Dutfield and Carl Worrall. The finals were a race of nutrition and who could finish. In both finals Callum was able to bridge a gap early on and keep it stalemate. Richard Howells again showed pace but wasn’t able to do anything about the speed of Callum. The pair finished 1st and 2nd in both finals. The lower positions was a race to who would finish and it was Matt Dutfield who drove smart and got his truck up into the podium places. Carl Worrall has the match of Matt but wasn’t able to see it through. It wasn’t Ian Taylor’s day as he fell to the back of the field. Tamiya Euro Truck final results The next event is on the 8th of December for round three of this tightly contested championship. Jessica Palsson wins at RC Meeting Posted: 11 Nov 2019 02:06 AM PST The RC Meeting race was held in 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes at the FRCK Furulund club in Sweden this past weekend. In the 2WD Buggy class it was Jessica Palsson with a clean sweep in the triple qualifiers, leaving behind Micke Palsson and Pontus Magnusson in 2nd and 3rd respectively. The triple A-main events again saw Jessica excel and with pretty dominant performances in all three A-finals she would secure the overall from Mike in 2nd and Jonas Johansson in 3rd. Anthony Westergaard sweeps Easy Money Race Posted: 11 Nov 2019 01:34 AM PST The 4th Annual Easy Money Race was held at Thunder Alley R/C Raceway of Beaumont, California this past weekend. The event attracted 65 entries and in the Open Nitro Buggy class it was Anthony Westergaard with the overall TQ and also the win in the 25-minute A-main event, leaving behind Dylan Nelson on the runner-up spot, a lap down. Tyler Brown would come in 3rd, some 22 seconds behind Dylan. Over in Open Nitro Truggy to was Dylan Elliott with the overall TQ, however the single 25-minute A-main event saw Anthony Westergaard scoring his second win this weekend, leaving behind Bobby Villa in 2nd and Jeremy De Coster in 3rd. JP Richards TQs & wins at Ice Breaker race Posted: 11 Nov 2019 01:10 AM PST Bill’s RC Hobby Shop And Raceway of Marion, Indiana held their Ice Breaker race this past weekend, attracting 85 entries. 2WD Modified Buggy saw JP Richards taking the day’s win, starting from pole position into the single 6-minutes A-main event. Ean Reilley came in 2nd, some 7.8 seconds behind as Adam Rayls rounded out the top 3 podium result.
