JConcepts introduce new B74 & B6.1 optionals Posted: 25 Dec 2019 09:04 AM PST JConcepts have announced the release of new option parts for the Team Associated B74 and B6.1 off-road kits. First up is a set of carbon fibre steering arms for the B74. They are precision machined from 2.5mm carbon fibre material to better outfit and shed some weight from the Team Associated B74 vehicle. The design team has pin-pointed the exact geometry locations of the steering arms and created them in the durable and lightweight material. The arms are symmetric so they can be used on either side of the vehicle and can be neatly installed with the standard kit hardware. Also new are Fin titanium shock standoffs that can be used in the front and rear of the B74 and B6.1 buggies. The titanium items replace the standard parts and feature a lightweight design and with built-in threads are more easily adjustable than their counterparts. The 7mm hex based design allows adjustment with the most popular wrench in the R/C arsenal but also tapers down featuring the Fin treatment found on the JConcepts turnbuckles. Included with the standoffs, the white in colour Delrin pivot bushings are precision machined to slide on and off the titanium and allow the shocks floating freedom and just the correct amount of fore and aft movement. The bushings are asymmetrical; one-side features a taller shoulder which should be positioned toward the shock tower position on the vehicle. This taller shoulder helps maintain the shock in the correct position without falling back on to the standoff itself. The 2-piece set includes two 3x8mm BHCS to secure the standoffs to the shock tower. In addition, the set includes two aluminium washers, 2mm in thickness, which allow the titanium to be adjusted and used on the front or rear of the B6.1 and B74 vehicles. The standard 3mm locknut is used to finalise the assembly and secure the shock into position. JConcepts YZ-2 series titanium turnbuckles Posted: 25 Dec 2019 08:33 AM PST JConcepts have introduced their Fin titanium turnbuckle sets for the Yokomo YZ-2 DTM 3.0 and CAL3 2WD buggies. The base of the design is centred around a .143” titanium hex size which gradually tapers down into a 3mm thread base design which accepts the standard Yokomo ball-cup configuration. The focus of the styling surrounds the lengthened adjustment hex area and the “finned” cuts that rotate about the centre. The turnbuckles are lightweight, and the original “Fin” design brings out the glamour and quality that makes titanium one of the most sought-after exotic materials in the world. The JConcepts turnbuckles are produced with left- and right-hand threads with the left being conveniently marked for easy orientation. The sets, that are available for the DTM 3.0 and CAL3, also have another feature, a black colouring which gives the stealthiest look in the pits and on the track.
