WRC Racing GTX.6 1/8th nitro on-road kit Posted: 25 May 2020 09:04 AM PDT Italian company WRC Racing has introduce their new GTX.6 1/8th scale nitro on-road kit. The latest incarnation of WRC Racing’s GTX series features several updates such as a new carbon fibre front body support and a redesigned radio plate for improved front end flex. Also new are rear uniball upper arms for camber adjustment and a new double belt tensioner. The features list is rounded out by a new exhaust support that is integrated in the front spur gear support. Yeah Racing SCX10 III brass front bumper & servo mount Posted: 25 May 2020 08:50 AM PDT Yeah Racing have introduced their new brass front bumper and servo mount for the Axial SCX10 III trail truck. The mount adds weight to the most forward position of truck and weighing in at 77 grams, it will allow the crawler to climb obstacles easier as it shifts the centre of mass towards the forward of the rig. The part comes machined from high-quality brass material and with a polished surface finish for looks. HiroFactory HRF10X-PB one-touch battery stopper Posted: 25 May 2020 06:47 AM PDT Coming from HiroFactory and made for their HRF10X-PB formula car kit are new one-touch battery stoppers. The 3-D-printed parts attach to the battery locator and allow for easy fixing and removal of the battery pack without having to use a rubber O-ring or the like. The stoppers are usable with most 1S-style 18.5mm low-profile shorty LiPo batteries and they are available in black, white and limited edition purple and pearl white colour. JQRacing Black Edition carbon sideguards & hardware kit Posted: 25 May 2020 05:25 AM PDT JQRacing have introduced new optionals for their Black Edition 1/8th scale buggies in the form of carbon fibre sideguards and a lightweight hardware set, the latter is being made by T-Works. The Italian-made carbon fibre sideguards for the Black Edition nitro and eCars are now available to the public, after previously only being available for THE100. They are moulded from high-quality material for a low weight and exceptional durability and come including mounting hardware. As for the lightweight hardware kit, the T-Works produced items save 42 grams in weight. The screws are all above the chassis and are of a high quality and will last through multiple chassis, allowing to transfer them to a new car when updating a current kit. NathoBuilds stainless steel screw bottom kits Posted: 25 May 2020 04:14 AM PDT Coming from NathoBuilds and made for Team Associated’s, Team Losi Racing’s, Xray’s, and Yokomo’s current 1/10th buggy kits are several stainless steel screw bottom kits. The fasteners are made from Grade 316/A4 stainless steel, which is durable and doesn’t rust, helping to add some strength, bling and corrosion resistance as well as weight. The kits are available for the Team Associated B6.1/B6.2, T6.1, SC6.1, and B74, the TLR 22 5.0 and 22X-4, the Xray XB2D 2020 and XB4 2020 as well as the Yokomo YZ-2 DTM3 and the YZ-4 SF. Dillon Caldwell wins at Saturday Night Club Race Posted: 25 May 2020 02:04 AM PDT Mike’s Gulf Coast Raceway of Porter, Texas held their Saturday Night Club Race last weekend, attracting nearly 75 entries. The race was held in single Open Nitro Buggy, Electric Buggy, and Nitro/Electric Truggy classes as well as a single Novice category and in Open Nitro Buggy it was Dillon Caldwell with the overall TQ and he would also come out on top in the single 15-minute A-main event, leaving behind Cody Babbitt in 2nd and Micah Smith in 3rd. In the combined Open Nitro and Electric Truggy class it was Brian Henn with the overall TQ and like Dillon he would be able to convert the pole position into a win, leaving behind Moe Agha in 2nd, already a lap down. T-Works standard glow plug magnifier tool Posted: 25 May 2020 01:23 AM PDT Coming from T-Works is their new glow plug magnifier tool that allows to check the condition of standard glow plugs more easily. The tool offers up to 50-times magnification and includes a light, which makes inspection of the glow plug’s inner coil condition a lot easier. The magnifier is usable with standard-type glow plugs exclusively, it comes in a carbon fibre design carrying case and is available now. Ethan Lefebvre TQs & wins at Thornhill club race Posted: 25 May 2020 12:56 AM PDT The Thornhill Racing Circuit of Hutto, Texas held a club race this past weekend that attracted over 70 entries. In 1/8th E-Buggy it was Xray’s Ethan Lefebvre with the overall TQ and he also came out on top in the double A-main events, handing him the day’s win from Chris Allison (Tekno RC) in 2nd and Chris Marrant (HB Racing) in 3rd. Jeff Whiting wins at Texas Biggie 43 Posted: 25 May 2020 12:18 AM PDT The RCRCNT Raceway in Butleson, Texas held the Texas Biggie 43 this past weekend in several 1/10th, 1/8th and 1/5th scale on-road classes. The event attracted nearly 60 entries and in 1/8th Masters it was Scotty Ernst (Infinity) with the overall TQ from the Serpent duo of Jeff Whiting in 2nd and Darrel Bird in 3rd. The start of the 40-minute A-main event saw Scotty have a great start and he was able to keep calm for the first five minutes with Jeff Whiting right behind him. Scotty slowly was able to build up a lead and put some space between his and the field until his nitro gremlins struck again. 31 minutes in with only 9 minutes to go Ernst had built up a 2-lap lead until he lost a front belt. Scotty was able to keep it on the track for the remainder of the race but could not hold off Jeff and had to settle for 2nd some three laps down as Darrell Bird came in 3rd, another seven laps down. Ryan Maifield wins at MOD 5th & 8th Scale Champs Posted: 24 May 2020 11:51 PM PDT The MOD 5th & 8th Scale Champs were held at the Fear Farm track this past weekend, attracting nearly 150 entries for the 1/5th and 1/8th scale off-road classes. In 1/8th Pro Buggy and when the dust had settled, it was Mugen’s Ryan Maifield with the overall win, leaving behind Team Associated’s Spencer Rivkin and Mugen’s Tanner Denney who completed the top 3.
