LCG Racing SFX wide carbon fibre top decks Posted: 11 Aug 2020 08:41 AM PDT LCG Racing have introduced new wide variants of their SFX conversion top decks. They feature a wider shape in the mid section, providing better response and a more direct feeling in grippier track conditions. With a decrease in flexibility, this increases corner speed and overall stability while making the car easier to drive. Xray XB2 & XB4 graphite composite long lower arms Posted: 11 Aug 2020 08:27 AM PDT Coming from Xray and made for their XB2 and XB4 2020 and higher kits are new longer graphite composite lower arms. The XB4 front lower long suspension arm is made from graphite material suitable for most track conditions. The arm features a redesigned geometry for improved handling, increased traction and improved handling on bumpy tracks while allowing for a greater range of adjustments. The front arm also features a mounting position for the optional front anti-roll bar and it is usable on both the left and right hand side of the car. The front arms are usable for the XB4’20 and higher. As for the redesigned rear long suspension arms, they are also 2mm longer, which helps to generate more grip in low traction conditions and improves stability on higher traction surfaces and improves handling on bumpy tracks. Made from super-tough, high-tech graphite material the arms offer perfect balance between reliability and performance and they are rigid enough for a responsive feel and extreme durability, making them suitable for most track conditions, especially medium- and high-traction tracks. The intelligent rear arm design allows for variable positioning of the rear shocks. Depending on track conditions, the rear shocks can be installed either in front of or behind the rear shock tower, and the rear shock tower can be placed either in front of or behind the bulkhead. The arms are available in a left and right hand variant and they are usable for the XB2’20 and XB4’20 as well as their follow-up models. The internal spring scale shocks come pre-assembled for easy upgrading of any current rig. They feature a double O-ring sealing cartridge which increases the lifespan of the O-rings inside the shock and in this version of piggyback shock, the compression and rebound is further controlled by the piggyback. Hardware required to install the shocks is included and they are available in red or black colour. David Todd wins Spanish Nitro Buggy Champs B Rd2 Posted: 11 Aug 2020 07:08 AM PDT Round 2 of the Spanish Nitro Buggy Championship B was hosted by the Circuito de El Estrecho track in Cadiz last weekend, attracting over 30 entries. David Todd Nieto (Mugen) took the overall TQ from Mario Diaz Montero (SWorkz) and young David would also take home the win in the 45-minute A-main event despite falling back to 4th about mid-race. In the end he took the win with a lap margin on Joaquin Moreno (Mugen) with Mario Diaz Montero coming in 3rd overall, some 4.4 seconds behind. Made from hardened steel for long wear and featuring a drilled and grooved design for improved cooling and thus less brake fading even in long mains, the rotors are also about 20 percent lighter than the standard parts for reduced drivetrain masses and hence better acceleration. Shahrin wins at Malaysian On-road Nats Rd1 Posted: 11 Aug 2020 06:06 AM PDT The opening round of the Malaysian National Championship MNC was held this past weekend with 80 entries for the Touring 13.5T Super Stock, GT 17.5T Stock, 17.5T FWD and 17.5T Tamiya Truck classes. In 17.5T FWD it was Xray driver Sharin who would ultimately take the win in front of Awesomatix driver, Kew Sau Gie while Xpress’ Zaki came in 3rd overall. Penguin Custom Bodyshells Rockhopper & vintage wings Posted: 11 Aug 2020 05:22 AM PDT UK Penguin Custom Bodyshells distributors Schumacher have introduced the new Rockhopper and vintage 1/10th buggy rear wings. Starting with the Rockhopper, the wing was designed for competition use and it is a more traditional style wing that compliments the Penguin range of wings. The Rockhopper sits between the King and Emperor in terms of downforce and it is made of 1mm Lexan polycarbonate and features multiple cutlines on the gurney for aero adjustment purposes. Secondly for and vintage and retro racers comes a Procat or Cougar wing with side plates. Again made with 1mm Lexan the win is ideal for both racing or shelf queens. Niklas Hillig TQs & wins at BBC Rd2 Posted: 11 Aug 2020 05:10 AM PDT The Bernau track near Berlin played host to round 2 of the Berlin Brandenburg Championship last weekend. The race was held in sizzling hot weather conditions and in the Touring Super Stock class it was Xray’s Niklas Hillig who took the opening two qualifying rounds to take the overall TQ and pole position for the finals. Starting from P1 allowed Niklas to stay ahead of the pack and to take the wins in legs 1 and 2 of the A-mains for the overall victory as Xray’s Lukas Ellerbrock and Awesomatix driver, Dennis Fadtke came in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Over in the Formula class it was Alexander Bremer who led an all-Xray podium with Robert Kampehl and Mirco Goroncek coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Last but not least and in the 1/8th GT class it was again Alexander Bremer with the win from Wayne Cavanough 2nd and Carsten Kirsch 3rd (all Xray).
