Tebo double at Tekno RC Winter series

Round 1 of the Tekno RC 1/8 Winter Series was held last weekend at the HobbyTown USA Hobbyplex in Omaha. Racing was close, with Jared Tebo (Tekno) taking the TQ in Expert Nitro Buggy, with Mason Fuller (TLR) starting first in Expert Electric Buggy. In Nitro, Mason and Jared would have an epic battle for the entire 30 minute main. Both would would make strange mistakes every time they built any sort of a lead. Close acing throughout, Tebo would emerge the winner in front of Fuller in 2nd with Jared Wiggins (Tekno) right there in 3rd, the top 3 finishing within 4 or 5 seconds. In Electric, Mason and Jared again battled early, but unfortunately Mason would have some mistakes and Jared pulled a big gap to win the 10 minutes main.

Team Powers XPS Sport V3 100A ESC

Team Powers have announced their soon to be released XPS Sport V3 (100A) speed control. Improvements to the hardware over the V2 speedo sees it upgraded from 95A to 100A with high grade FETs that lower the internal resistance for more output power as well as lowering the operating temperature. The new speedo also supports Ch3/Ch4 Aux input signal to control different item function values, with a BEC selection of 6V/7.4V with a max ~5A. The V3 also has the same PCB layout design as the Radon Pro V4 for better stability and reliability and the software has also been upgraded to Radon Pro V4 speed control firmware.

RC Maker A12 shim plate set & damper guard

RC Maker have produced their first option parts for the newly released Awesomatix A12 1/12th scale car. First up is a carbon front ride height shim plate set which makes it much easier to make aggressive ride height adjustments on the fly. The separate shims just slide in when loosening the screws, and the front being a solid plate is much easier to install than 3 separate shims. Very handy for asphalt racing or when using big tires. Next up is a carbon damper guard that was developed particularly for asphalt. After some feedback from team drivers running on asphalt, they found the damper section of the chassis began to wear on bumpy tracks. This 0.5mm stick on plates act as a guard and prevent the damper burring over on the edges and touching the output shafts, effecting the smoothness of your dampening.

T-Works MP10E carbon gearbox plate

Coming from T-Works and made for the Kyosho MP10E is this carbon fibre centre gearbox plate. The part is cut from high-quality carbon fibre and it is a direct fit to the centre bulkhead of the EP-powered MP10, replacing the kit standard metal version.

BR1 BC-T4WC V2 servo for Xray T4

Introducing the new BC-T4WC V2 digital servo from BR1, brand of multiple World Champion Bruno Coelho. Created for all Xray T4 drivers that are looking for maximum performance, this V2 servo is the follow up to the innovative BC-T4WC servo released last year. The BC-T4WC V2 was developed together with numerous professional drivers, to achieve the best possible performance. The aluminium case makes it ultra precise and sleek looking, while the unique interchangeable mount allows the servo to be used either in an optional front, or standard rearward mounting position. Another exclusive feature is the optional 5 gram brass weight that can be incorporated into the mount, to optimise the balance of the chassis.

The servo includes a unique interchangeable aluminium plate, which is mounted directly through the chassis to the servo with either 2 or 3 screws (FH M3x10). The servo also includes 1 special titanium BR1 screw, which allows for mounting with 2 standard type screws from the bottom, and utilising the single BR1 screw to have the plate mounted with 3 screws still, 2 through the chassis, and one just through the mount, allowing for different flex characteristics.

The optional bridge allows for a forward servo mounting position includes 3 special titanium BR1 screws, for a super secure and sleek mounting of the bridge extension to the servo.The optional bridge also features the option to be mounted with the 2 screws in the forward position on the chassis, but additionally, with standard screws through the chassis into the servo, when adding 1mm of shims between the bridge and the chassis. This gives you the possibility to use several different screw combinations, in a range of flex options, which makes fine tuning of the car’s handling very quick and easy.
