JConcepts 2.2″ Stadium Truck Sprinter Posted: 05 Jan 2021 09:18 AM PST The Sprinter tire from JConcepts is now available in a 2.2″ Stadium truck variant. Featuring square, angled pins that are stacked vertically to flex and fold evenly across the tire the company started with a new tread and focused on durability and performance to bring a rear tire option to market that competes on loose surfaces which are wet or dusty. The outer sidewall of the tire has angled pins incorporated into the design to help release the turn and provide the rotation not only needed in dirt off-road but specifically in dirt-oval racing. The blended tread to tire body is supported with a generous radius which promotes “pin snap” and resists tearing or separation. Horizontal traction bars connect several pins near the centre of the tire which bonds a critical area for increased push at high-speed. The sidewall area blends nicely into a step-spike feature which helps smooth the transition in bumpy sections and create side-bite. JConcepts DR10 brass optional parts Posted: 04 Jan 2021 01:30 PM PST Some new brass options for the Team Associated DR10 from JConcepts with a new front suspension bracket and servo mount bracket. Setting the trim on any RC car is crucial but perhaps even more critical is for the trim to remain consistent throughout a race. JConcepts introduces the servo mount bracket for the DR10 line of vehicles. Constructed of brass to add weight this unique part offers benefits over the stock mount configuration. Most drag racers like to add weight to the front-end of the vehicles to maintain balance which allows the vehicle to stay on 4 wheels and move forward more efficiently. The mount fits snug inside the chassis servo mounting area increasing the support while the 2 screw mounting locations are beefy in design and zeroed in for a direct mount to the chassis. The bracket has locations on each side for included 3x6mm set screws to help align and maintain servo position during racing conditions, crashes and hard hits. The set screws are intended to touch-off against the servo case and provide additional support keeping the servo in the intended position which helps maintain consistent steering trim. Front-end protection and weight is critical on all RC vehicles and in particular drag racing. JConcepts is once again on task with the release of the brass front suspension brace for the Team Associated DR10 line of vehicles. The all-brass machined brace is spot on in terms of geometry, fit, finish and position. The tightened design adds extra weight to assist in keeping the front-end down during high-speed runs. The item installs with existing hardware included in the kit and can easily be installed track-side or between races or test and tune sessions.
