Posted: 10 Mar 2021 12:57 AM PST The sad news has reached us that Angelo Gesualdi has passed away. Few people we have met in more than 3 decades of racing shared the passion for our sport as much as he did. Best known to us racers as the head of the Mini Autodromo Jody Scheckter Fiorano track in the heart of Ferrari country, our experiences of him from attending ENS races was of a man who was always running around ensuring everyone and everything at his track was being well taken care of and enjoying their time at his track. When there was ‘down time’ he was to be seen in the pitlane and on the grid starting races with his ever present tricolour. There is a reason the Fiorano track is ever present on race calendars and why everyone from ENS to EFRA to RC brands want to hold races there. The facilities are second to none, the restaurant is fantastic but most of all the people, a lot of whom are his own family, although everyone was treated as family regardless, all shared the same passion and kindness as Angelo did and it is this infectious enthusiasm and how welcome he made everybody feel that we will remember about him most. Our condolences to his family, RC racing has lost a shining light. FacebookTwitterThe post In Memoriam: Angelo Gesualdi appeared first on Red RC. |
