With close to 100 entries the event was again very well accepted and many drivers used the race to get some practice runs before the German Nationals at the same venue later this year. Jens Becker would be the man to beat in the 2WD Buggy class as he won all three qualifiers to grab the overall TQ and the pole position for the triple A-mains. In A1 Jens suffered technical issues but he stroke back in A2 and A3 to take the day’s win from Marcel Schneider and Michael Rybski. Source: Xray [teamxray.com] FacebookTwitterGoogle+Pin It |
JConcepts TLR 22 3.0 S2 Worlds bodyshell Posted: 26 Jul 2016 07:09 AM PDT JConcepts have introduced the S2 Worlds bodyshell for the TLR 22 3.0 buggy. The follow-up version of the popular Silencer body rocks some familiar features but rolled together with a low-profile stance. Slammed overall height allows the S2 to whisk through the turns with a low centre of mass while the progressive cab design provides plenty of front-end force for superior balance and steering. A channeled roof directs the flow through the centre of the body while also increasing the rigidity of cockpit. The upper side-pods feature distinct vents used to help relieve hot air build-up inside the body while carved and detailed side-pods edge the body giving the highly aero unit a stylish look with and tight fit and finish. The body, available in a regular and lightweight variant, is built to accommodate the TLR laydown transmission, giving all out performance. As usual the body comes clear, including window masks and decal sheet and it includes two 6.5″ Finnsiher rear wings. Source: JConcepts [jconcepts.net] FacebookTwitterGoogle+Pin It |

The pocket on either side is made from mesh, and each is able to hold a 500ml drink bottle. Giovanni Verbrugghe crowned 1/5 Touring Euro Champ Posted: 26 Jul 2016 03:26 AM PDT The 2016 EFRA 1/5th scale European Championships were held in Bologna, Italy last week and in the 30-minute main final it was Belgium’s Giovanni Verbrugghe who walked away with the win. Verbrugghe snatched the runner-up spot from Ales Bayer, who suffered from changing weather conditions, while Italy’s Lamberto Collari controlled the pace on the front end of the pack. Pole position holder Patrick Folman was out of the title race following several off-track experiences and another prominent victim of unplanned off-road excursions was leader Lamberto who spun out in the closing stages of the final, promoting Giovanni Verbrugghe into the lead that he would hold onto until the checkered flag to take the 2016 European Championship title from Lamberto Collari while Patrick Folman was able to recover to third overall. Thanks to Giovanni Verbrugghe for the report. FacebookTwitterGoogle+Pin It |
