| June 7, 2022 Democrats in the Minnesota Senate are proposing a higher age limit to buy some guns. DFL Senator Kari Dziedzic of Minneapolis said today that she’s preparing legislation to change the legal age from 18 to 21 for purchasing rifles, shotguns and semi-automatic weapons. She plans to introduce the bill during a possible special session. Dziedzic said the proposal is a reasonable step to help address gun violence.
