22 million Americans may be unable to return to work because of long COVID, a Mayo Clinic doctor warns. Mayo's occupational medicine specialist Dr. Greg Vanichkachorn urged state lawmakers to prepare for workplace disruptions and to support greater collaboration across health systems to improve access to care for long-haul COVID. He discussed long-haul COVID's potential impact on the public health and economy on MPR News 🎧
Defense begins its case in the federal trial of 3 ex-MPD cops. The prosecution rested its case yesterday four weeks after testimony started. Two of the three told the judge on Monday they plan to testify in their own defense. The other had previously said he would testify, but he asked the judge for another day to consider.
Minnesota Senate GOP introduces a bill to provide parents more access to school curriculum. The legislative package, dubbed a "Parents Bill of Rights,” consists of bills that would require schools to have a system for notifying parents of activities at school and prevent schools from withholding information about their child's well-being or education, and require access to class syllabi for parents within the first two weeks of the start of classes.
