REMINDER:
ACCESS TO OXYGEN MEDIA ROUNDTABLE - ACT-ACCELERATOR

ACCESS TO OXYGEN IN THE CONTEXT OF COVID-19 AND THE ACT-A OXYGEN EMERGENCY TASKFORCE, ONE YEAR ON.

Journalists are invited to attend an ACT-Accelerator media briefing - held in collaboration with Unitaid - which will discuss the latest medical oxygen developments from the ACT-A Therapeutics pillar, partner governments and development bodies, as well as the ongoing need to ensure equitable and sustainable access to this critical treatment.

The briefing will be held on Thursday,17 March, from 14:30-15:30 CET, with the following speakers:

• Atul Gawande, Assistant Administrator for Global Health; USAID
• Professor Lackson Kasonka, Permanent Secretary, Technical Services, Ministry of Health, Zambia
• Dr Mike Ryan, Executive Director, Health Emergencies Programme; World Health Organization
• Leith Greenslade, Coordinator, Every Breath Counts Coalition
• Robert Matiru, Chair, ACT-A Oxygen Emergency Taskforce; Director of Programmes, Unitaid

The call will be in English and after opening remarks from the speakers, there will be time for questions that focus only on access to medical oxygen in the context of COVID-19, and the work of the ACT-Accelerator Oxygen Emergency Taskforce.
