Long-distance quantum teleportation for a sustained period has been reached, a milestone necessary to one day create a quantum internet, according to researchers with Fermilab and its research partners. Photon qubits were teleported about 44 kilometers via fiber, researchers say, and they describe the event in PRX Quantum.
