Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-NY, dead at 88, according to local reports

Rep. Louise Slaughter, who had served in Congress since 1987, died after being hospitalized with a concussion earlier this week, several aides told the Democrat and Chronicle on Friday. The Democrat from New York was 88 years old.
