Repeat the sounding joy!

You’ve probably seen the signs hanging on a friend’s wall or on the shelves at a home decor store—the ones that read “live, laugh, love,” or “faith and family.” The four Advent candles evoke a similar sentiment: hope, peace, joy, and love.

Most of us have heard those words so many times that we struggle to absorb their meaning. This time of year, when cliches and phrases abound like tinsel on a tree, it’s doubly important that we understand the depths of hope, peace, joy, and love that only Jesus can bring. May your Christmas season be rich with true hope, peace, joy, and love that are firmly rooted in the Christ who came and will come again.
