First, thank you for your support over the years. You’ve been with us through thick and thin, and we are so grateful to continue to be able to provide quality entertainment in the form of The Writer’s Almanac, Garrison’s writings, A Prairie Home Companion archives, new digital projects, live shows, and more.
 
Ever since Garrison retired from the show, our three-person staff has been working hard to fund our projects and reach our former audience of 3 million listeners. This has been challenging at times without access to the vast resources of public radio. What we need from our fans right now is a little help to spread the word and fund our work.
 
Our goals this summer are to:

1. expand our newsletter subscriptions
2. increase listenership to The Writer’s Almanac
3. raise money through donations and merchandise sales 

There are a lot of worthy causes out there right now and many people are experiencing difficulty, so we certainly understand if now is not the right time for some of you. But for those of you who have some extra time or funds on hand, we ask that you consider some of the below options to help us continue our work as an organization. If we work together in this grassroots effort, we think we can achieve big things!

Spread the word: No Money Required!
 

Writer’s Almanac fans:

1. Forward the daily Writer’s Almanac email to five friends and encourage them to sign up for the newsletter here. Let them know that this fan-favorite program is alive and well in podcast form!
2. “Like” our page on Facebook and SHARE any of our posts that tickle your fancy. The more SHARES we get, the more poetry lovers we can reach!
3. Contact your local public radio station and let them know that The Writer’s Almanac is available for purchase on PRX (they will know what that means). Your direct action may result in the Almanac being carried on your local station!
4. Open up your favorite podcast app, search for “The Writer’s Almanac,” and hit SUBSCRIBE. The more subscribers we have, the more underwriting we can obtain.
5. Write a review for The Writer’s Almanac on your preferred podcast app. The more reviews we receive, the better placement the program will have in different apps.

1. Forward Garrison’s weekly email to your friends and have them sign up at http://www.garrisonkeillor.com/contact/. Any news about upcoming Prairie Home shows, merchandise, and archival footage will be shared through that newsletter.
2. If you see a PHC post on the Garrison Keillor Facebook page that you like, whether it be a full archival show, a sponsor ad, a song, or a story, hit the SHARE button!
3. When we send out an email about a Prairie Home show that has been released on YouTube, please forward that email to your friends who used to listen to A Prairie Home Companion on the radio. These special streams are only available for one week at a time, and we want all the show's fans to be able to find them.
4. Go to our YouTube channel and SUBSCRIBE so that you’ll know when we post new scripts or archival footage. Ask your friends to do the same!
5. Send an email to your friends letting them know that most PHC shows are available as audio streams on https://www.prairiehome.org/

2. “Like” Garrison’s page on Facebook and SHARE his column posts and his new “News from Manhattan” posts.
3. Contact your local newspaper and let them know you’d like to see Garrison’s column in the paper. It used to be syndicated by the Washington Post for a fee, but now they can email kseggerman@garrisonkeillor.com and get it for free!
