Traffic Scotland said the local Old Military Road, which has previously been used as an alternative route for the Argyll road, had also been blocked. Heavy downpours caused flooding and transport disruption across Scotland on Tuesday leaving cars and houses submerged in water. About 65mm of rainfall is estimated to have fallen at the Rest and Be Thankful over the course of the day.
