Editor's Notes

We did it, folks.

We at Technical.ly are happy to report that Introduced|Virtual happened with few technical glitches and — most importantly — many, many lessons shared on building better businesses. If you missed this pilot version of our annual Philly Tech Week conference, catch videos of each session on YouTubeWe'll also be publishing recaps of throughout the next two weeks or so. First up, hear from four company leaders on how to be responsive to your workforce during a crisis.

I also want to shout out this longread as your prepare for your weekend: Local journalist Michaela Althouse (who you may recognize as a former Technical.ly intern) spent weeks talking to technologists, game designers and labor experts in the D.C. area and wrote about that tech community's rising interest in unions. While there's a focus on the District, she captures the frustration of many across the country — especially at a time when inequities have been thrown into sharp relief as the less protected and lesser paid are forced to work the front lines of a pandemic.
