The Federal Reserve will avoid emergency interest-rate cuts before September, despite market volatility and weaker-than-expected employment data, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon says. "The economy will chug along, and we probably won't see a recession. ... Based on the economic data we're seeing now and the messaging from the Fed, I think it's likely that we'll see a cut or two in the fall," Solomon says.

Zappos' health benefits support LGBTQ+ employees

Online shoe and clothing retailer Zappos supports LGBTQ+ employees by offering six weeks of paternity leave for all parents, fertility benefits, child care assistance and a Transgender Day Visibility Chat, which allows employees to share their experiences, says Zappos' Cody Britton, who points out the company uses the Human Rights Campaign's Healthcare Equality Index as a guide. "Zappos is not my first job, but it is the first job I've ever had where I wasn't afraid to show up authentically," says Britton, who adds she was able to have a baby thanks to the company's in vitro fertilization benefits.
