Lewis Hamilton hits 300 GP starts in France

It’s been clear during the last few Formula 1 races that Mercedes is finally getting much better understanding of its W13 car. Mercedes will hope that new upgrades brought to the French Grand Prix, which our snappers spied today, are the final parts of its puzzle to take the fight to Red Bull and Ferrari. Four podiums from the last four grands prix demonstrate the potential, so it’s over to Lewis Hamilton and George Russell to see if they can unleash that further. Meantime, a heartfelt congratulations to Hamilton, who starts his 300th F1 race at Paul Ricard. The seven-time world champion today named Fernando Alonso as his toughest rival, and it was nice to hear the Spaniard respond by calling Lewis a “legend of the sport”.
