Disease severity linked to incomplete and duplicate EHR problem lists

A study published in the Journal of Informatics in Health and Biomedicine found that the severity of the patient’s specific diseases impact the completeness of their electronic health record (EHR) problem list and whether or not the problem list contains duplication.
Proposed rule introduces new CPT codes for cardiac shunting, EKGs, and lung biopsies

CMS released the calendar year 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule on August 3, introducing 39 new CPT codes, mainly for cardiovascular services. If finalized, the new codes will go into effect January 1.
