Data Center World
The highly anticipated results of our annual State of the Data Center research have arrived! Join us next week on May 13th for the unveiling of our 2021 report. This year’s report includes a new focus on talent and workforce challenges and best practices, as well as an increased emphasis on the impact of automation on data center management.
  • A New Role in the Data Center – What’s FinOps? – 58% of respondents reported a trend away from public cloud and towardcolocation or private data centers. The switch from up-front CapEx investments in IT to subscription mode created savings, but led to rising monthly bills for unaccounted services. And so, to monitor and mitigate the costs and measure the value delivered from the cloud, new technology and operational disciplines were born: FinOps.
  • Robots in the Data Center? Yeah, Kinda! – More than 40% of respondents said they’ll deploy robotics and automation in the data center - 16% already do and 35% said they'd deploy these solutions in the next three years. This means our industry sees the benefit of leveraging more intelligent, autonomous systems for smaller tasks and distributed environments designed to augment our capabilities and allow humans to bring more value elsewhere to the business.
Register now for this complimentary half-day virtual Summit on May 13th! As an added bonus, all event attendees will receive a copy of the full report.
