| | News Releases Dr. Rosemary Lesser to receive Athena Leadership Award The Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce Rosemary Lesser as the 2025 Athena Leadership Award Recipient!
The Athena Committee was inspired by Rosemaryâs trailblazing energy, her commitment to our community, and her passion to empower and inspire women. Rosemary was one of the first women admitted to the University of Notre Dame and the first woman to graduate from the OB/GYN specialty training at the Air Forceâs medical center in San Antonio. Following her graduation, Rosemary was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.
Rosemaryâs dedication to public service is unwavering. After serving for 15 years in the Air Force in Germany and Texas, Rosemary moved her family to Ogden where she established a successful practice as an OB/GYN. She ran this practice for nearly 30 years before entering the Utah legislature as the representative for House District 10.
Rosemary demonstrates skills of leadership and management, adaptability, and belief in shared success acquired during her service in the military and during her time as a Utah House Representative. (Read More) | | |
