DA to present evidence while Justice probe ongoing
By KELLY P. KISSEL | Metro editor A prosecutor says the Ronald Greene case will go before a grand jury next month. While the U.S. Justice Department is looking into the 2019 death of the motorist in north Louisiana, the Union Parish district attorney says he'll begin presenting information to a grand jury on Nov. 10. A Mandeville man has surrendered to police after a weekend hit-and-run death near LSU. A felony charge is possible. Baton Rouge police have put together an incentive program in an effort to attract new officers. The move is intended to address chronic understaffing at the agency. |
