Nigerian health minister shares plans to quell polio outbreak Nigerian Health Minister Isaac Adewole visited Rotary International World Headquarters in Evanston, Illinois, USA, Friday to discuss Nigeria’s efforts to stem the outbreak of polio. Three cases in the northern state of Borno in August put the country back on the endemic list. Adewole said his country is treating the situation as “a national emergency” and is determined to rid the country of polio again.
