One-day Read Write Inc. Phonics Update Training

We're very excited about the recent launch of the brand new Read Write Inc. Phonics resources.

Trained schools can attend our one-day update training in London, Liverpool, Newcastle, Huddersfield, Birmingham or Cardiff. The trainer will demonstrate all the updated activities and teachers will get to practise too.

Places cost £150 per person + VAT, and our '3 places for the price of 2' special offer applies when all places are booked on the same training.

Parent Tutorial: Preparing to teach reading - The Frieze

These videos are automatically available to you if you already have a subscription to our Phonics masterclasses, or if you've received a Fresh Start Development Day since January 2016. Read Write Inc. Phonics 2016 - free Literacy Leadership Events led by Ruth

This autumn term, Ruth will be leading a series of taster events around the country for schools wanting to find out more about the brand new 2016 edition of Read Write Inc. Phonics.

These free half-day events for headteachers and senior leaders will show how the new 2016 edition of Read Write Inc. Phonics:

  • Develops passionate teachers who capture children's imaginations whether teaching sounds or reading stories
  • Uses the most recent research into working memory to accelerate children's progress in reading and writing
  • Uses cutting edge leadership strategies to establish effective teaching systems
  • Ensures children attain the higher expectations of the National Curriculum and related tests including the SATs and Phonics Screening Check.

Schools Competition: Host the Ruth Miskin Training Book Bench and receive MyBookBlog for free

We are looking for a Read Write Inc. school in the Midlands to host our bright and beautiful Dr. Seuss book bench for a year. The new host will receive a year’s free subscription to MyBookBlog  – our new website designed to bring storytime and books to life for children.
All your school has to do to enter this competition is demonstrate how bonkers you are about books.

Entries could include…
  • Films of teachers reviewing books
  • Photographs of book corners and teachers’ character costumes
  • Snippets of teachers reading out loud.
Why not make a montage of all of the above, or come up with your own idea? The winning school will be featured in regular posts on our Facebook page, and on our website.
