A monthslong investigation into human trafficking at local strip clubs has resulted in the arrest of a 63-year-old local strip club owner, who is the second person arrested in the case. The suspect, identified as His Majesty Victor Saint Adams, was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said Adams' arrest stems from a prostitution sting operation Sept. 13, 2018, at the MGM Cabaret, which Adams owned in Von Ormy. RELATED: Man found with minor at SA strip club, charged with sex assault of child, BCSO says "This case keeps getting uglier and uglier," Salazar said at a news conference.  The operation led deputies to much more than the first person arrested in the case, Eric Taylor , 24, who is suspected of pimping a 16-year-old girl and others for an undetermined amount of time. Deputies discovered the brutal reality of ongoing human trafficking not only in San Antonio, but outside city limits.  Salazar said the teen girl's firsthand accounts have guided authorities to other victims, some of whom are minors, of human trafficking and to other cities. RELATED: Blush Show Club and Restaurant allowed teen girl to work as dancer, BCSO says The MGM Cabaret has since shut down and another strip club, formerly known as Blush Show Club and Restaurant, lost its liquor license after it allowed the girl to work as an exotic dancer, according to the Sheriff's Office.  Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales said the charge that Adams faces is a result of his engagement in the enterprise of prostitution.  "One less person to plague on women and children," Gonzales said. As he was being escorted to a patrol unit by deputies, Adams told reporters he was "shocked" and that the accusations are "news" to him. RELATED: Human trafficking suspect targeted minors, runaways, BCSO says   "I would never try to do something wrong to somebody's child. I don't know what's going on," Adams claimed.  "You know what I’m doing and what I’m capable of doing," Adams said, directing a message to his daughter while being questioned by reporters. Salazar said even before being elected as sheriff and during his time with San Antonio police, Adams has been known to local authorities for his involvment in prostitution. RELATED: Early morning shooting not the first trouble for Von Ormy strip club While the other strip clubs that Adams owns have not yet been shut down, Salazar said deputies are monitoring them. If convicted, Adams faces two to 20 years in prison, Gonzales said, adding that the evidence collected against Adams will "speak for itself."
