| July 8, 2022 Temperatures and dew points will be on the rise this weekend. Highs will be mainly in the 80s across the state Saturday afternoon, with some 70s in northeastern Minnesota. High temps ramp up a bit in the southern half of Minnesota on Sunday, reaching the upper 80s to lower 90s. There will be plenty of rain-free hours at any given location this weekend. | Metro Transit trying out shorter light rail trains in Twin Cities | Starting Saturday and running through mid-August, Metro Transit is running light rail trains in sets of two cars instead of three. Metro Transit spokesperson Drew Kerr said the goal of the change being tested this summer is to have police and community service officers more visible on the trains. | |
