The Saints did everything they needed to do on their end. Even in a game where Trevor Siemian needed to come in and finish the game after a Taysom Hill injury, the Saints completely dominated the Falcons in a 30-20 win. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, as a Matthew Stafford Overtime interceptions vs. the San Francisco 49ers ended the game, and the Saints playoff chances. For the first time since the 2016 season, the Saints won't be playing extra football in January. The season did finish on a high note though, as the Saints won three of their last four games to at least give themselves a chance to get the No. 7 seed in the NFC. Alvin Kamara had a big day for the Saints, rushing for 146 yards in the season finale win. Unfortunately, is running mate in the backfield, Mark Ingram, was inactive today and missed out on a bonus after coming up 34 yards shy of 750 yards for the season. The Saints will now prepare for an off-season where they will have to make some decisions on a number of players who have expiring deals, including Saints quarterback Jameis Winston. A wild, yet chaotic 2021 season for the Saints has finally been put to rest.
