Happy Friday and welcome to the Saints Insider newsletter for January 26, 2024. Well, you can add another name to the list of candidates for the New Orleans Saints’ offensive coordinator position. Mike Sullivan, who served as quarterback coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers, had his name added to the mix Thursday. Check out our tracker on all the latest on the search. Hires in the division While the Saints continue their search, a couple of their division rivals have found their head coaches. The Atlanta Falcons hired Raheem Morris and the Carolina Panthers are set to hire David Canales. The Falcons’ hire could possibly affect the Saints’ pursuit of Zac Robinson, one of the candidates for the Saints’ coordinator position. Morris spent the last three seasons as the Rams defensive coordinator and coached with Robinson, who was the Rams’ pass game coordinator. So Robinson very well could join Morris in the ATL. What's up with the salary cap? Also, our crew recorded the latest episode of the Saints’ Insider podcast. Make sure to go to our YouTube channel and take a listen as we give our thoughts on everything from the coaching search to the Saints’ salary cap situation. That’s all for today. Make sure to check nola.com throughout the day for any breaking news. As always, thanks for reading. Cheers!!! Rod Walker |
