Saltwater threatens New Orleans area

Saltwater on the move: Unsafe levels of saltwater are expected to plague New Orleans-area drinking systems in the next month, Mark Schleifstein reports. The phenomenon is caused by a low Mississippi River and a lack of rainfall. Officials are expected to ship millions of gallons of freshwater for area residents to drink and cook with.
