A fight between two sisters-in-law led to one of them pulling out a gun and fatally shooting the other at the doorway of a South Side home. Around 4:09 p.m. on Thursday, officers with the San Antonio Police Department went to the home in the 1000 block on Grand River Drive for a report of a shooting. Police Chief William McManus said when officers arrived, they found a woman, 44, dead with a gunshot wound and another woman, 39, inside the home. McManus said the two women, who are sisters-in-law, were fighting in the front yard until one of them began walking to go inside her home. The 44-year-old woman followed her sister-in-law inside the home and when she refused to leave, the 39-year-old woman pulled out a gun and fatally shot her sister-in-law at the doorway, McManus said. "There were three children in the house. Two 11-year-old boys who are twins and one 7-year-old," McManus said. While investigators are "looking at all angles," McManus said they are not yet ruling out that it may have been a "justified shooting." According to McManus, officers have gone to the same home at least seven times in the past few months for disturbances. McManus said investigators will take several hours to process the crime scene. It is unclear what charges, if any, the woman will face. Police have not yet identified the two women involved in the shooting.
