Governing Global Health Security in the 21st Century
Perceiving the global proliferation of infectious diseases as a national security concern, “Global Health Security” has emerged as a policy paradigm since the early 1990s. Today, the politics of GHS is confronted with considerable critique, practical and conceptual, as well as with new challenges. In his keynote lecture, Professor Stefan Elbe will talk about changing concepts of health and security, the politics of technological innovation, and new forms of diplomacy that (re)shape global health and international relations in the 21st century.
