SC Tech study shows impact of tech industry

The first SC Tech Economic Impact Study for the SC Council on Competitiveness found the industry has an economic footprint of $89 billion in the state and has doubled its employment numbers since 2005.

Bon Secours St. Francis-Greenville announced plans for a new 41,450-square-foot comprehensive health care center during a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday. The facility will be located along Interstate 385 in Simpsonville.

Regional accreditation body lifts Benedict College probation

The school had been placed on a 12-month probation stemming from financial concerns by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The commission found Benedict in compliance during its annual board meeting.

Southeastern Institute now Southeastern College

The nationally accredited, private network of career colleges has campuses in Columbia and North Charleston among its five locations. Each S.C. campus added four programs in 2020.
