St Anns Alley will feature detached, single-family homes ranging from 1,100 to 1,600 square feet. West Columbia developer Joe Taylor formed Spring Street Partners for the project. The first 7 homes are slated for early summer completion.

Affordable housing planned for Anderson workers

A 77-acre plot of land closed by NAI Earle Furman’s Commercial Housing Solutions in Anderson County will be developed into a workforce housing community built to serve nearby industrial and civil employees.

SCRA gives grant funds to 4 companies

The state-chartered nonprofit has awarded a total of $150,000 in grant funding to four client companies, two in the Lowcountry and two in the Upstate. Three of the companies received the competitively awarded Acceleration Grants; the fourth company received a grant from the Academic Startup Assistance Program.

New owners report year of growth for The Cliffs

The first 12 months under new ownership was a year of growth for The Cliffs, which includes Cliffs Realty and Walnut Cove Realty. The Cliffs was acquired by South Street Partners about a year ago. South Street Partners is one of the largest developers and operators of residential private club communities in the country and master developer of Kiawah Island.

Blinktbi's portable EyeStat device measures blink reflex

A portable device developed by Charleston-based Blinktbi has received Food and Drug Administration clearance and is being used to measure and assess the blink reflexes. The blink reflex can possibly be an indicator for concussions
