Officials: herbicide restrictions could harm key crop harvest

Officials with Clemson University’s Department of Pesticide Regulation warn that new herbicide prohibitions could devastate South Carolina’s cotton and soybean harvest. Under EPA regulations, the sale and distribution of three widespread herbicides will be prohibited after July 31 in the state. Herbicide dealers are advised to stop all sales of the product.
