| Greenville budget prioritizes affordable housing and transit The city of Greenville’s budget, approved Wednesday after a second reading, will set aside $2 million for affordable housing, $500,000 more than the allotted amount in the first reading, and $1.2 million for Greenlink funding. Other allocations include $2 million for sidewalk construction and street resurfacing. MTC freezes tuition through 2020 Midlands Technical College, which plans to reopen its campuses in August, announced the move during a virtual town hall for students on Thursday.
