Governor requests small business loan eligibility

Almost as soon as President Donald Trump said $50 billion would be made available for coronavirus-related small business disaster loans, S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster requested a share of the capital for the Palmetto State.

Fort Jackson cancels graduation ceremonies

The U.S. Army installation has canceled basic training graduations and family days for “the foreseeable future,” the fort said, because of novel coronavirus concerns. Also, Minor League Baseball delayed the start of the 2020 season.

CBRE report says Greenville has healthy vacancy rate

According to a CBRE analysis, Greenville claimed the fourth lowest vacancy rate for new industrial developments in the nation last year. Of the 4 million square feet of new industrial projects built last year, 18.7% remained vacant at the time of the study

Richland Soil and Water Conservation District awards grants

Three grants have been awarded to local educational institutions totaling $2,500 to support those organizations’ environmental efforts. Since 2012, the district has funded 75 Richland County projects.
