Army Corps presents potential solution to coastal flooding Halfway through a study on how to protect the Charleston peninsula from coastal flooding, the Army Corps of Engineers is seeking public input on a potential solution: a wall around the city. The public has until June 19 to provide input online, though the Army Corps plans to hold another comment period early next year as well. University of South Carolina to resume classes this fall In-person instruction will resume on USC’s Columbia campus in mid-August.
