British Science Week: HSE's ‘Turbo Talks’ seminar

'Turbo Talks' seminar
13 March 12.15 - 1.00pm

Join us for a free seminar to celebrate British Science Week, which runs from 8 - 17 March.

Our series of 5 minute 'Turbo Talks' feature HSE scientists talking about the ways our science and evidence is being used to help everyone lead safer and healthier lives.

Topics include:

  • Enabling industry to innovate safely in the move to net zero with FlyZero: supporting the safe potential introduction of liquefied hydrogen fuel for net zero commercial flights

  • Reducing work-related ill health: improving workplace exposure measurements for respirable crystalline silica

  • Increasing and maintaining trust to ensure people feel safe where they live, where they work and in their environment: the science and evidence supporting the Building Safety Regulator, focusing on higher-risk buildings

Approved List of biological agents: fifth edition published

HSE has approved the revised publication of the Approved List of biological agents

The Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens (ACDP) Approved List of biological agents provides the classification of biological agents as referred to in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH).

If you are working with biological agents, it is important that you review the updated Approved List for any changes to ensure that you continue to implement the appropriate control measures in accordance with the hazard group classification.
