Scientific/Clinical Member Nominations are Now Being Accepted for the Department of Health and Human Services Panel on Antiretroviral Therapy and Medical Management of Children Living with HIV The HHS Panel on Antiretroviral Therapy and Medical Management of Children Living with HIV (or the Panel) is accepting nominations for new scientific/clinical members with expertise in HIV medicine. The Panel is seeking candidates with expertise in: Neonatal pharmacology Virology and/or immunology with experience in infant diagnosis of HIV Individuals who served as Panel members in the past are welcome to reapply. Panel members critically evaluate new information and prepare guidelines revisions. The candidates should be recognized experts in their areas of interest. The successful candidates will serve a 3-year term beginning April 2023, with potential for reappointment for an additional term. The Panel is a Working Group of the National Institutes of Health Office of AIDS Research Advisory Council. The Panel is composed of approximately 40 members who are clinicians, researchers, academicians, HHS representatives, and community representatives with expertise in HIV management in the United States. The Panel meets monthly via teleconference to review and critically evaluate emerging scientific data relating to antiretroviral therapy in children and to revise theGuidelines for Use of Antiretroviral Agents in Pediatric HIV Infection, which are found at clinicalinfo.hiv.gov/en/guidelines. Panel members are not financially compensated for their time commitment. The nomination should include a curriculum vitae and a letter of interest or a letter of nomination with specific reference to how the nominee would contribute to the work of the Panel.
