| | Dear Voornaam, Well, have you recovered? Scotland are heading home from Euro 2024 after last night's defeat to Hungary. Defeat which came in the 100th minute with virtually the last kick of the ball. We have extensive coverage today picking apart the campaign with coverage led by our football writer Alan Pattullo who was in the Stuttgart Arena. He writes today - "The clock was ticking towards midnight when Steve Clarke eventually made his way to the podium in the press conference room at the Stuttgart Arena. The inquest was about to start. It may continue for some time" Elsewhere today, we lead on an exclusive from our transport correspondent Alastair Dalton as ScotRail is hit with a new strike threat. Drivers have rejected a pay offer from the state-owned operator, and will ballot for action if it is not improved. However, there is also a risk of more immediate disruption to trains if drivers decide to no longer volunteer for overtime, on which ScotRail still depends to run some of its services - as happened two years ago. You can read his story here Meanwhile, we wrap up the action from the Royal Highland Show which came to an end yesterday. Organisers have hailed the success of the record-breaking event, putting the event on a firm footing for the future. I hope you have a great start to the week Alan | |
