Dear Voornaam,

Not great news for holidaymakers as strikes loom at Glasgow Airport this summer. Five companies have been given a fortnight to address demands from union Unite. If their concerns are not resolved, workers at Glasgow Airport Ltd, ICTS Central Search, Swissport, Menzies Aviation and Falck could be balloted for walkouts.

Apple flan

An analysis today by our political team looks at the Hamilton by-election. Politics editor Alistair Grant and deputy politics editor David Bol give you an insight inside the truth behind the numbers - and why journalists were greeted by a Scottish Labour spin doctor brandishing an apple flan.

Lear

Theatre critic Joyce Macmillan gives her verdict on both a new retelling of Lear at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh - by deaf theatre maker Ramesh Meyyappan, in a "wordless hour-long meditation on Shakespeare’s great tragedy" - as well as The Mountaintop, now playing at the Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh.

Read all of this and much more at Scotsman.com and have a great Saturday.
