SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT ISSUES GUIDANCE FOR BUSINESSES TO MOVE OUT OF LOCKDOWN

 
The Scottish Government unveiled new guidance for retailers and manufacturers to consider how people can safely return to work as it looks forward to its phased approach to moving out of lockdown.

The documents have been developed in conjunction with businesses, trade unions and regulators. The provide advice on essential equipment, services and measures needed to create the conditions for safer workplaces.

National Action Plan for Scottish Tourism Launched

The Scottish Tourism Emergency Response Group (STERG) has published its National Action plan as it looks to support tourism businesses and help those affected today, tomorrow and in the future.

Coronavirus Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme Now Live

If you’re an employer with fewer than 250 employees, you can now claim for coronavirus-related Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).

The repayment will cover up to two weeks of the applicable rate of SSP, and is payable if a current or former employee was unable to work on or after 13 March 2020 and entitled to SSP.

Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme


All you need to know about the Government's Job Retention Scheme where employers can claim 80% of wages for employees on temporary leave (“furlough”).

Small Business Support Grant


Small Business Support Grant Applications are already being processed by Fife Council’s Rates Team who are working hard to support Fife Businesses by helping them maintain cashflow. With applications being approved, if you’ve not already, why not check to see if you are eligible.


Business Rates Support for Fife Businesses

The Creative Sector


To help support the country's creative industries against the impact of COVID-19, Creative Scotland has launched three funding programmes:
  1. A Creative Scotland Bridging Bursary Fund
  2. Screen Scotland Bridging Bursary Fund
  3. Open Fund: Sustaining Creative Development - aims to enable organisations to explore ways of working that will help them to adapt and respond to the current changing circumstances.
Applications opened 30th March 2020.
