Joann Lublin speaks the truth about daughters and mothers in her interview in today’s Recruitment & Retention story. Our young women would be wise to learn from our experiences. My daughter and I have discussed this. She hears me out when I give her advice, but I can tell -- just by watching her face -- when she’s planning not to do what I’m suggesting. “Look, you don’t have to do what I’m telling you, but I have been in this spot. Mama got a brain -- maybe you want to heed that.” She’ll nod and smile politely and “Thanks Mom!” me before scampering away. I just sigh and shake my head. And wonder how many times my own mother did the same at me. Any mothers out there able to relate? Let me know. Know someone who needs to receive this newsletter? Send them this link to subscribe.
