Screen International invites you to a virtual screening for the film Toorbos

Toorbos explores the uprooting of a stubborn young forest woman and her community during the time of the last forest inhabitants of South Africa's Knysna forest, in the 1930's. As Karoliena is whisked away to marry a dapper townsman, she strenuously tries to defend her own freedom and nature, against the destruction of her environment.

A tale about the power of love, the importance of the feminine and overcoming our destructive relationship with nature.

Screen International has partnered with film market platform Archipel Market on an exclusive series of screenings focused on the international feature awards race.
